With over 20 years of experience, David “Marquis” Watson, joins us with an extensive background in Video Production, Graphic Arts and Digital Editing. David has worked many years in the Cable Industry as an Access Coordinator in which one of his many duties included teaching video production classes to community volunteers.
In 2007 he was awarded The Cornell University Cooperative Extension Putnam County Certificate of Recognition and also received a letter of appreciation from New York State Senator Vincent L. Leibell for his hard work, dedication outreach and commitment for serving the young and old a like in their community.
In 1996 after being turned down by several music and television networks Marquis set out to create the greatest music video talk show in his home state of Connecticut. He created hosted and executive produced “203” Music Clique. For 10 years Marquis highlighted local talent and interviewed celebrities the likes of Destiny’s Child, N’Sync, Tyrese, Omar Epps, Alicia Keyes, Jill Scott, Dave Koz, and former Heavyweight Champion Evander Holyfield just to name a few. Marquis was awarded the Billboard Music Award for Best Local and Regional Music Video Talk Show in America for three consecutive years (2000, 2001, and 2002).
Throughout his career, Marquis has continued to do freelance video, camera work and graphics work with college and professional sporting venues. He has worked on several Independent film projects and has done stand by work as well as on the sets of Major Motion Pictures such as “Hunt for Red October”, “Flight of the Intruder” and many college films.
Currently Marquis is working on future development projects to be submitted to National Television networks. He is also doing correspondent work for WGO Network on Colours TV, which airs on the Dish Network. |
